Our Future Plans & Timeline

At The Bee Hives CIC, we believe in transparency and community involvement every step of the way. Here’s a snapshot of our upcoming milestones as we work to build affordable, eco-friendly homes for Manchester’s key workers:

October 1, 2025 — First Steps

We will officially begin our pilot project by finalizing architectural designs for our first three eco-friendly chalets.

November 2025 — Land Secured

We aim to confirm the lease or community transfer agreement for our pilot site in Manchester or Greater Manchester.

January 2026 — Funding and Grants

We will submit applications for key grants and funding to support construction and project development.

March 2026 — Community Engagement

Launch a local outreach campaign to involve residents, potential tenants, and partners in shaping the project.

May 2026 — Construction Begins

Groundbreaking and start of building work on the first eco-friendly chalets using sustainable materials.

October 2026 — Project Completion & Move-In

Completion of construction and welcoming of the first tenants to their new homes.

Late 2026 — Evaluation & Growth

Assess the pilot project outcomes, gather feedback, and plan for scaling up to more homes in the region.
